Amelia Peterson is an Omaha-based freelance editor. After graduating with a degree in Broadcasting and New Media from the University of Nebraska-Omaha, she pursued editing and traveling, which eventually took her to the Maine Media Workshops where she worked as a Staff Editor for the Post Production facilities before moving across the country to Los Angeles. While in Los Angeles, she edited and co-produced the award winning documentary, The Grey Area (2012), currently distributed by Women Make Movies. Returning to the midwest, Amelia continues to work nationally, editing short projects and documentaries like Taking Lena Home (2015), as well as locally on narrative feature One Wandering Thought (2017). When she’s not editing, Amelia can be found rehabbing her home in midtown Omaha.
